CENTERCOURT TENNIS ACADEMY

Message from our Director - Nicholas Scott

At 135, we understand that every tennis player has their own strengths, weaknesses and playing style. Our experience working with developing players and their coaches has taught us not to complicate the analytics or the analysis, and that our job is a process, rather than a one-off report. It’s why Tennis Canada has engaged us to profile and assist in the development of their junior players.

Using the 135 Framework as a base for understanding, backed up by cutting edge technology, our approach is to work with a player through their coach in 3 primary ways:

  1. Profiling
  2. Benchmarking
  3. Measuring

We only work with players through their coach/academy, becoming Centercourt’s partner in driving matchplay development, using  analytics, analysis, match footage plus group education and 1-on-1 consulting.

We look forward to working with you!

PROCESS

Julia Stusek v Hannah Klugman Tarbes Final 2022

A 135 Profile is analytics recorded over at least two matches at around the same time to gain insights into a player’s level at a certain time. Using our relationships with national and international organisations like Tennis Canada, we benchmark each player on serve, return and long rally metrics. 135 then measures a player’s improvement over time.

We recommend that aspirational players film at least 2 matches every 3 months. Analytics can either be recorded by the player or by 135, although we highly recommend the player conduct this process at least half the time because of the benefits of watching themselves play.

All match analytics are recorded using the 135 App, and uploaded to the 135 Analyser, which includes the ability to filter video by all metrics.
